These are the principles of the brand name 'kandē, and it is inspired by the pronunciation of my mother's name, Candy Cheung. She walked over the rainbow bridge to the heaven in the winter of 2009. There are many things mom and I wanted to do together, still. However, I missed the moment when we could; I truly wish that I could buy back the time with her. This is how the name of ˈkandē come from, and continuously as her dreams and messages to others.

Inspired by True Story
In the loving memory of my wonderful and precious mom, she was such an excellent cook and always hand made delicious dishes for me at home. She was a fast learner and keen to learned new dishes from different cook books. She was a magician in the kitchen. Mom told me about her secret recipes: to respect all ingredients, enjoy the cooking/baking process and share the food with love. She also spoke to me when she cooked in the kitchen, " to enjoy the working process along the way through with faith, insist to achieve your dreams, learn from the mistakes, be a good listener comments from others." That is really true, and we sure do need lots of love and courage throughout our entire life, but not only in the kitchen.
These are the important messages that my mom would like to share with others. In fact, the idea of kandē is not only about a business. I wish the brand ˈkandē is capable to deliver and create the voice for her, and in order to inspire others to experience a new approach at cooking/baking as their new enjoyment in the kitchen. Last but not least, sharing the food filled with love for who you care, is always a perfect gift to your friends and families.
